- Getting Head Out of Kill Zone and Returning Fire to Head of Threat with Single Hand Shooting
- Shooting Head Shots with Upward Angle to Mitigate Liability
One handed shooting can have an advantage when moving to your left (for right handed shooters). There are situations where you can get shots off quicker and get your head off line when addressing threats. Don Gulla shows drills to get off line and deliver quick shots to neutralize lethal threats.

Don,
Don’t know if you remember me Jim Dyment from SPD I taught on the basic side when you were there. I have since retired. I am a certified NRA pistol instructor and a Glock armorer. I do shoot point/instinctive shooting and do some teaching on Whidbey Is (I-594 really screwed me over). I am interested in refreshing in some of the current shooting techniques.

Personal Opinion, I feel your statement, “You are also responsible for the people around you”, made to an armed citizen, is inappropiate. When our agency issues a CCW we remind folks, they have not become peace officers and the license is issued for personal protection.

Hey Chuck,
This is a great point to raise. Our intention with that statement was to remind shooters that they are responsible for proper target acquisition and shooting angles so that innocent bystanders are not hit.
Not to speak for Don…but I believe he was referring to knowing where your target is and what is beyond your target. Meaning you are responsible to ensure where your rounds go once they leave the muzzle.
